We have a ton of Americana Inspiration to share with you today as we combine our June Release with Tutorial Tuesday. We were thrilled to see how excited you were to learn how to make a dimensional envelope with Darsie Bruno last week. Thanks for all the comments we enjoyed reading everyone and we were amazed to see how many cards you each make a month!
First let's announce last week's Tutorial Tuesday Winner...
Congratulations to Rebecca Billard who has won Three Background Stamps of her choice.
Darsie you are awesome! I love this video. Now I don't have to try to squeeze a card into a regular size envelope anymore. Keep the videos coming! I probably make about 4-6 cards a month and the theme's are whatever I need for that month. The paper tools I love the most are my dies and stamps!
Rebbeca Please email me at [email protected] with your stamp choices and shipping information. Please put Tutorial Tuesday as the subject of your email. For your chance to win scroll to the bottom of the post for all the details.
For today's release we have two Americana themed stamps designed by Amy Tedder. A Tutorial Tuesday Americana Tablesetting YouTube Video by Heidi Blankenship with written instructions here on the blog plus inspiration from our fabulous design team.

Today for Tutorial Tuesday Heidi shares with you how to create a fabulous 4th of July Celebration Tablesetting and Home Decor Piece. If you are reading this post from an email subscription click here to view Heidi's Tutorial Tuesday Video.
Here are step by step instructions for Heidi's 4th of July Celebration Ensemble.
To create the garland for my Americana Wall Decor piece by stamping the star images on to the cuts while they are still on the Silhouette mat. The mat will hold the paper in place making it easier to line up the stamps. The stars were stamped using Memento Nautical Blue and Lady Bug inks. Then I inked the edges with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I colored the buttons using EB1 and EB2 Spectrum Noir Markers. I wanted the edges of the stars to have a little more of a distressed or aged look so I edged them using Spectrum Noir Marker EB7. To make the paper garland cut a piece of hemp twine for the length you need then use hot glue to add the stars and a small dot of hot glue to hold the burlap in place. Just an FYI--I have a wet sponge off to the side that I am tapping my finger on BEFORE I touch the hot glue. ;-) You could make the paper garland longer to hang or place around your table setting.
Next I designed this centerpeice for my 4th of July tablesetting.....
The next images were all stamped and colored with the same inks and markers. I started by stamping the images using Memento Espresso Truffle. To color the images I used Spectrum Noir Markers CR8,TB9, EB1, and EB2. Next I inked the edges with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. To give the image a distressed/aged look I used Spectrum Noir Marker EB7 around the edges.
Here is a look at my table setting.
To dress up my mason jar glasses I tied burlap around the jar and added a star.
To create my Freedom Ring Pop - I fussy cut the Let Freedom Ring sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon.
To stamp on the napkin I used StazOn Black Cherry Ink. Then I folded the napkin to make a pocket for my silverware and finished it our with a strip of burlap and a stamped star.
To create my wrap for my sparklers. I stamped the Shooting Stars Cling Background Stamp using Memento Espresso Truffle and then color the image using Spectrum Noir Markers CR8, EB1, and TB9. Cut the image in half to create two strips of paper. Ink the edges with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. This piece is used for the wrap around the sparkler box.
Here is my entire 4th of July Ensemble.
