A Special Thank You to Sherry Cheever for sharing her papercrafting talent with us here this week on the JustRite Blog. Hope you all enjoyed Sherry's projects as much as we did. You can find more of Sherry's work weekly on her blog Walkin' on the BAD Side!
Hey y’all! Sherry Cheever here with my final project. Before I begin, let me once again say how excited and honored I’ve been to be a Guest Designer this week . . . thank you so very much Kellie! For today’s project I’m using Justrite Papercraft Butterfly Dreams.
The card is a 5-1/2” square, using cream cardstock as the base. I dug through my paper stash and found and old stack of designer paper, that I used for the layers, flowers and frame. The background papers were distressed with scissors, sponged with linen ink, then stitched to another cream background. The seam binding ribbon was dyed with the same linen ink.
The sentiment was stamped in gray then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Small Ovals. The frame around the sentiment was made by gluing some of the designer paper to chipboard, then die cutting with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals. The edges of the frame were sponged with the same gray ink as the sentiment. The flowers were made from more coordinating paper using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms, and the butterfly was die cut with Butterfly Corners.
Once again, it’s been my pleasure to be here with you with this week. Thanks for joining me.
