Welcome to day two with guest designer Sherry Cheever . Sherry has a gorgeous vintage card to share with us today.
Good Morning! Sherry Cheever here again today with another project, this time using the JustRite Papercraft Rose Postcard Background. When I first saw this stamp, my mind automatically went into vintage/distress mode with lots of layers.
The image was stamped on watercolor paper in black pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Reinkers in different shades of orange and green were used to watercolor the image. The butterfly was stamped twice and water colored in light purples and blues.
The edges of the image, as well as all the other background papers, were distressed with scissors and then sponged with linen ink. A frame for the image was made by gluing a piece of coordinating paper to chipboard, then die cutting it with Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight. The seam binding ribbon was dyed with the same dark green used for water coloring the leaves in the image. The card base and background layer were die cut with Spellbinders Grand Squares. The edges were sponged with linen ink.
