Tutorial Tuesday - Creative Techniques for Background stamps featuring our Secret Garden Background Stamp.

Today Heidi Blankenship has a YouTube Tutorial showcasing our Secret Garden Cling Background Stamp, Heidi will show you how easy it is to get three different looks using the same background stamp with 3 different stamping techniques. Here is a peak at the cards in the video.

JustRite Friday Challenge #113 - In The Background

I'm sure you have all had a chance to catch all the wonderful crafting tips given here at JustRite Inspiration on our Tutorial Tuesday. If you've missed them, you can find them anytime in the TUTORIALS tab above. So, I am going to give you a chance to show what you have learned! For this challenge, use a background stamp or any JustRite stamps to create your own custom designer paper. I want you to try one of the techniques shown on Tutorial Tuesday OR show us something new! Judging will be based on creativity and clever use of stamps so put your thinking caps on! It shouldn't be too hard to create something FABULOUS with your JustRite stamps, right?! Please share which products you used in your project and link the products to the JustRite Store when writing your posts.

I was inspired by Darsie's Butterfly & Vines video where she showed us how to double emboss. While I didn't exactly double emboss my background, it DID give me the idea to stamp my Elegant Corners Labels Four background with Memento Toffee Crunch ink and then use matching Elegant Corners clear stamps to emboss the corners on top of it in gold. Tutorial Tuesday - Die Layering Tips for Spellbinders Gold Labels Four Dies

Tutorial Tuesday -Create 3 Cards from one stamped background image

Welcome to our 3rd edition of Tutorial Tuesday. Today JustRite Designer Heidi Blankenship is sharing a fun way to create three quick and easy elegant cards with one stamped background stamp image.

Hello everyone! Heidi, here today for Tutorial Tuesday and I am going to share a fun technique with you showing how you can take one background stamp and get three different cards.

Here is a quick look at the three different cards. For the background I used the AG-04870 Tulip Damask Background Cling Stamp and for the sentiments I used CR-04915 Just a Note Vintage Sentiment Tag Clear Stamps. I will be showing you how you can stamp the background image once and make different cuts to the paper and then use those pieces to create the cards.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink stamp the AG-04870 Tulip Damask Background Cling Stamp on to white cardstock. Trim the edges. For the first cut in the paper, make a diagonal cut as shown.

Next, take the top portion and using a 1-1/3'' square punch, punch out three squares as shown.

With the remaining piece of cardstock cut three banners.

In this picture you can see exactly where all of the cuts/punches were made in the paper.

Once all of the pieces are cut lightly ink around the outer edges of the paper with Tuxedo Black ink. When inking I use cotton balls, moving in a circular motion. Doing this will result in a nice soft, smooth, even coverage.

Next mat the background pieces with black cardstock. Here are the measurements--for the diagonal piece cut the black cardstock to 3'' x 4-1/2'', banners--#1 1'' x 4'',

I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® EZ Runner® Permanent Strips-Refillable Dispenser 49' to adhere the pieces together and for the squares I used 3D Foam Squares in between the layers. Then I fussy cut the diagonal piece and the banners. For the sentiments on all three cards I used CR-04915 Just a Note Vintage Sentiment Tag Clear Stamps .

Here is a Designer Tip: If you are stamping on angle and you want to add a piece of ribbon or trim after stamping cut a strip of paper that is the same width as your ribbon and place it down before you stamp. This will give you the perfect placement for your sentiment.

For each card I cut a white mat that is 4-1/2'' x 5-3/4'' and then a pink card base 4-3/4'' x 6''. Here is a quick look at the mat of card #1 after adding the the diagonal piece, Pink Wrinkled Ribbon, and then sentiment.

Mat #2 with the squares, ribbon and sentiment.

Mat #3 with the banners, ribbon and sentiment. Once all of the mats were done I added them to the pink card bases.

I added bows to each of the cards with the Pink Wrinkled Ribbon. Then to finish off the cards I added Wild Orchard Craft Flowers-2-Tone Baby Pink Sweetheart Blossom and SS12 Light Rose Flat Back Crystals from ButterBeeScraps. I used Glossy Accents from Ranger to add the crystals. Thank you so much for joining me today! We are starting the year off with a great new COLOR CHALLENGE and some NEW RULES here at JustRite Inspiration sponsored by Spellbinders! Introducing Ribbon & Swags Vintage Labels Seven designed by Becca Feeken

Welcome to day 4 of the JustRite Papercraft CHA Release. In our January Release we have three new sets designed by Becca Feeken for our Amazing Paper Grace Line of stamps. Today we are introducing Becca's first 6" x 8" Clear set of stamps and you are going to love the versatility of this set. The design team has created stunning projects with this set.
