Little did I know when this set, All Boy (SW-04520), arrived on my doorstep, that it was going to be the perfect set for so many projects for my soon-to-be grandson. I knew I wanted to make a mini album/brag book using many of the fun elements of this fabulous set to celebrate this wonderful occasion!
The cover of the book uses the wonderful car silhouette, stamped in rhubarb, and 2 sentiments from the set. The Dickens quote is stamped in peanut brittle ink with teal and rhubarb accents. “It’s A Boy!” is stamped in brown ink on a mustard “tab.” Fun colors, patterned papers, die cuts, ribbon and dimension accent the stamped elements on the cover.
The inside cover has the sailboat from the set stamped in peanut brittle with multi-colored sails popped up with dimensional foam. The chevron pattern stamped in aqua from Pattern Basics (SW-04585) simulates the waves of the ocean. The first blank picture page is simply stamped with a two-toned sentiment from All Boy and a patterned paper strip, embellished with a stapled tab die cut.
Center pages, awaiting future pictures, use two of the border elements, the dotted border and the stitched argyle, from Pattern Basics as well as two more of the super fun sentiments from All Boy. Stapled ribbon embellishments accent each die cut sentiment.
Finally, the back page and back cover are stamped with even more fun sentiments and a cute tugboat image from All Boy riding on chevron “waves.”
I’m excited to fill this little album with baby pictures and haven’t decided if it will be Gramma’s brag book or a gift for my son. Decisions, decisions!
