Day Two with Guest Designer Holly Simoni

Today I have created a Silhouette Bracelet to share with you. It turned into one of my favorite projects. I've used the fabulous JustRite Stamps Graceful Monogram set for this project. The silhouette stamp fits perfectly inside the Spellbinders hobnail circles bezel.

 

I purchased a pre-made crochet bracelet from a craft store, then added stamping, ribbon, bling and resin.

 

 I decided I wanted to give the silhouette stamp a deep glossy black finish. So I stamped the silhouette with Versamark ink and poured black fine detail embossing powder over the ink, then heat embossed. The glossy embossed silhouette is stunning! I then used my Spellbinders Artisan Explorer die cutting machine to cut out image. I used the circles one die template that perfectly matches the hobnail circle bezel. Using a little piece of tape to secure the die template, helps to keep it in the perfect place around the stamped image. I also used a permanent solvent ink to stamp the beautiful swirls onto the blue ribbon.

 

The stamped ribbon was adhered with double sided permanent tape and a few rhinestones were added. I adhered the silhouette image to the bezel with glossy accents and applied a thin coat of matte finish glossy accents to the stamped image. I layered rhinestone chain inside the bezel, and around the silhouette. Then allowed the glossy accents to dry. I mixed Ice Resin according to manufacturer instructions and poured it into the bezel. The ice resin takes about 6hrs to complete cure. Then I adhered the finished bezel to the center of the bracelet with E6000 adhesive.

 I just love how this turned out and am thinking of making an entire jewelry line to match it! Think how fun a pendant, ring and even earrings would be. I hope you enjoyed this project!

I'm so very honored and excited to be a Guest Designer this week for JustRite Stamps!  They always amaze me with their new releases and each time they just get better and better.  I'm a mixed media artist at heart and love to use JustRite Stamps in my altered projects.

Today I have altered a vintage medicine bottle.  I call my Butterfly Dreams Medicine Bottle.  It reminds me to keep dreaming, keep creating and keep mixing art mediums.  (My two little girls think it looks like a magic bottle that would be in a Fairy's house.)

 

I began by pouring a little Glimmer Mist inside the bottle and rolling it around and heating it up.  Then I dropped in Mica Flakes and adhered some to the bottom of the front of the bottle as well.  I tied ribbon and twine to the top of the bottle.

 I just adore this swirling stamp in the JustRite Stamps Butterfly Dreams set.  I inked the stamp with StaZon black solvent ink and used the stamp without a stamp block, so that I could wrap the stamp around the bottle.  It worked perfectly.  I love the aged look of stamping on glass.

 

I also used the Butterfly and the word DREAMS from the JustRite Stamps Butterfly Dreams set.  I stamped them both onto vintage paper using black ink.  Copic Markers are great for coloring in the Butterfly and around the word DREAMS.  I painted on a thin coat of Glimmer Glaze and then added some Stickles onto the Butterfly as well.  

3D Foam Squares were used to adhere to word DREAMS.  I also bent the wings of the Butterfly and used another 3D Foam Square to adhere it to the bottle.  When the bottle is laying down you can really see all the fabulous dimension.  It's almost as if the Butterfly is about to fly off the bottle!

Angela Barkhouse designed this fabulous 3-Dimensional Card using  Damask Wallpaper Background, and a Sentiment from For All You Do Vintage Labels Three dies cut with our Vintage Labels Two. Her projects is adorned with butterflies from Spellbinders Wonderful Wings and flowers made using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms.

Darsie Bruno shows you how stunning our Secret Garden Background stamp is simply embossed in white and colored with Faber-Castell Gelatos .  The Miss You Sentiment is from Vintage Banners die cut with JustRite Vintage Labels & Banner dies. The wonderful seam binding is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Her card is 5.25" x 6.5 ".

Heidi Blankenship designed a wonderful Cameo Card (4.25" x 5.5") using the CL-04505 Damask Wallpaper Background Stamp with our CR-04495 Graceful Monograms Stamps.  Heidi used VersaMark and clear embossing powder on light blue cardstock  to create her background and then used FC-70053 Stamper's Big Brush 3ct. Blue in between the damask pattern to create this beautiful design.  Read Heidi's blog post for more details on how to achieve this effect with a Stamper's Big Brush Pen. To die cut her layers she used SpellbindersS5-131 A2 Matting Basics A, S4-114 Standard Circles Large, and S4-344 Tear Drop Circles.

Kathy Jones designed this wonderful card using Secret Garden Background,  and our Floral Thank You . Don't you just love the beautiful accent she gets from using Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders at the bottom of her card.

Eva Dobilas designed this wonderful card (4" x 5.5") by clear embossing onto a patterned paper the Secret Garden Background stamp and then she colored in the flowers and leaves with Faber-Castell Gelatos. Eva used the following dies to create her card Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight, Labels Eight Dies, Bitty Blossoms and Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.  JustRite Custom Vintage Labels & Banner dies.  For more details visit Eva's blog post. 

Margie Higuchi shows how striking the Secret Garden Background stamp is stamped in black and accented with red. The " True Friends" sentiment is from True Friends Vintage Labels Four.

Barb Schram is sharing another Wedding Project she created for her daughter's wedding. Barb used our Damask Wallpaper Background stamp to create paper to wrap the paper hand towel boxes for the bathrooms at the wedding.  And she adorned the boxes with a sentiment from Live,Love Laughter Vintage Two Labels.

JustRite Friday Challenge #094 - Sketch

Today, we are introducing 2 new background stamps for the final day of April Releases. I decided to use a sketch for today's JustRite Friday Challenge that would compliment the many background stamps we have in stock in the JustRite Store. While you are browsing throught the store, you may want to check out the new Faber-Castell products that were added recently and are quite popular right now with the JR team. Also, Gelatos are on sale right now through April 9th at midnight so you may want to check them out as well!

You don't have to use the exact shapes in the sketch but it needs to reflect the overall feel. If you have some JustRite background stamps I would LOVE to see them! I turned the sketch on it's side and used the new Damask Wallpaper Background stamped in a teal chalk ink. The sentiment is from Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two and cut with the coordinating Vintage Labels Two die.
