Good morning and welcome to Day Three with Guest Designer Holly Simoni. We have really enjoyed having Holly showcase some amazing mixed media projects this week. Be sure to check out Holly's blog - Wild Wyoming Art Cafe' - for more inspiration and ideas.
Here's Holly:
I can hardly believe it's my last day as a Guest Designer for JustRite Stamps!! I've had so much fun creating mixed media projects and trying the stamps in new and different ways. I hope you'll give some of the techniques a try! So here is my last project, my Imagine Damask Card.
I inked the stamp with embossing ink and stamped onto ivory card stock. I sprinkled copper embossing powder over the entire image and shook off the excess. Then I used my heat gun to melt the embossing powder. The copper is so shimmery! I misted with my favorite colors and allowed that to dry (you can dry with a heat gun as well if you like). Then I trimmed the piece to the size of the stamped embossed image. I created a simple folded card with a 1/4" border around my Grand Damask Background and adhered that to the front of my card. I used a Copper Leaf pen to ink the edges of the card as shown.
