Debbie Marcinkiewicz back again today with a third and final project to share with you here at the JustRite Stamps Inspiration Blog! For today’s project, I decided to create an Art Block for an Art Quilt that I have been designing! I used the Fleuriste Newsprint Background Stamp to stamp an image on cream card stock with Soft Suede ink. I machine sewed some vintage trim I found on a recent antiqueing trip onto the right side of the stamped image using a zig-zag stitch and then adhered the image and trim to a piece of fabric for the backing. I lightly colored in several of the stamped images with chalks.
I machine sewed some tea-stained twill tape to the center of the stamped image and then created a pretty nosegay with some vintage looking flowers and embellishments. I created a bow with some Baby Pink Berry seam binding and inserted a pink trinket pin onto which I adhered a stamped sentiment using the Violette Vintage Labels stamp set.
I tucked a couple of ‘leaves’ under the flower nosegay that were created using vintage lace I found at a recent antiquing trip – I love how this art quilt block turned out!!
It is always so much fun to stop by the JustRite Papercraft Inspiration Blog to peek at all the magnificent inspiration here from the designers and guests each week. It has been my sincere pleasure to share a couple little projects with you … hand crafted and created from my heart using the yummy goodies available from JustRite Stamps!
