Day Three with guest designer Julie Overby

 A very special thank you to Julie Overby for sharing her beautiful JustRite Creations with us this week!  Enjoy your new home Julie!

Here is Julie: I love all the new background stamps that JustRite has and decided to glitter one up the Fleur de Lis Background Stamp for this card!  I used a VersaMark pad to stamp the background right on to the card base, added Glitz Glitter and set it with a heat gun.  Then I added my paper and trim to the bottom.  Next I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with a Standard Circles die template.  I used coordinating pattern paper to frame it with another circle.  Then I cut/embossed a Persian Motif and layered the circles with the sentiment on to that and adhere it on to the card.  Adding pearls and a big bow with a flower finished it off!

Day Two with guest designer Julie Overby

Here's Julie:
To create this card, I stamped the Shabby Music Background on cream cardstock, cut out an oval and adhere it to the card.  Then, to create a frame, I cut/embossed a Floral Oval out of black cardstock and used foam squares to adhere it over the music notes.  Next, I stamped the roses from the With Sympathy stamp set and colored them in.  I cut around the edges and used foam squares to adhere them into the oval.  After stamping the sentiement I used Ribbon Banners to cut it out and add it to the bottom of the oval.

Day One with Guest Designer Julie Overby

 This week we are very excited to have Spellbinders' Designer Julie Overby joining us as our guest blogger.  You can find Julie weekly on her blog Mini Moments here.  Julie has just moved back to Canada and I want to give her a big Thank You for working us into her unpacking and settling in schedule!!  

Here's Julie: To create this shabby chic card, I inked the edges of my pattern paper before adhering them to my cardbase.  I also added inked lace to the seams.  Using VersaMark, I stamped one of my favorite frames from the Just Keep Calm set and heat embossed Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel on it.  Then I cut it out and adhered it to the card.  After that I cut a classical oval and added glitter to it.  I used foam squares to adhere it to the center of the frame.  Then I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with a Spellbinders Tag.  A bow and a pearl were the perfect added touches.

Day Three with guest designer Marisa Job

For my third and final project as a JustRite Guest Designer, I created a card using

“Grandma’s Attic Background Stamp”.  I love this background stamp from the new JustRite April Release. I stamped the background on beige cardstock in black ink and then added some color with Distress Inks. For the scalloped lace edges, I stamped the borders with “Classic Lace Edges One” stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating die from Spellbinders “Classic Triple Scallop” . The two pieces were laced together with silk ribbon and placed on the right side of the card.

 

The sentiment “Sew On” is from the “Just Keep Calm” stamp set, the border behind it, is from the “Kindness” stamp set, and it was die cut with Spellbinders “Labels Twenty”.  The black beaded border is from Want 2 Scrap Nestabling. The flowers and leaves were die cut with Spellbinders “Bitty Blossoms”.

Day Two with guest designer Marisa Job

Good Friends Tri-Shutter Card 
For today's project, I created a Tri-Shutter Card. I love to make this card, it has several places to put embellishments and sentiments. I used the new JustRite April Release “Spring Rose Medallions” stamp set, which is perfect for making a card for a friend. I also used “Spread Your Wings” to stamp the birds and bird cage on the right panel.

  The medallions were stamped with embossing ink and then heat embossed using white embossing powder. Next, I die cut the medallions with the coordinating dies from the set “Nested Oval Medallion Labels”. The flowers, leaves, and lace doily were die cut with Spellbinders dies.
