This week I am absolutely delighted that my dear friend Amy Sheffer is joining us as our guest designer this week. I am a huge fan of Amy's work! I had a ton of fun looking back at Amy's JustRite work over the past 3 years while I was creating an Amy Sheffer-JustRite Pinterest Gallery board on our Pinterest Site. Now all of Amy's JustRite Creations can be easily pinned to your inspiration boards!
Now here is Amy:
I love pretty much anything and everything with a nautical theme. I'm instantly transported to my favorite place to be -- anywhere by the shore. Here I've combined Sea Shell Bay Labels Twenty Two with the beautiful Vintage Map Collage Background Stamp. The weathered, vintage feel of these sets is just gorgeous. I can almost taste the salty, beach air!
I started by stamping the Seahorse Bay label image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then die cut it out using the coordinating Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two Nestabilities. I colored with Copic markers and sponged the edges with some Ranger Distress inks for that nice, aged feel. My favorite nautical embellishments had to make an appearance: rope, vintage jumbo eyelets, burlap, and some netting, To finish, I machine stitched and distressed the edges of my background layers and dry-brushed ivory acrylic paint to the edges of the card base.
Beach or bust ;)
