JustRite Friday Challenge #063: Christmas

Today’s new JustRite Friday Challenge #063 is to finish up (or get started!) on your holiday cards or tags.  Before this challenge date ends, we will all be in full holiday mode -- can you believe it?!!  And since we know how busy everyone is during the holidays, this will be our last Friday Challenge for the year.  But don't worry -- we'll be back again in January!

My holiday tag sample uses JustRite’s Original interlocking Peace on Earth large oval stamp set, which is on our current 25% off Christmas sale!

The image was stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink on ivory cardstock and die cut with Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities, then mounted to a 2010 Heirloom Ornament die cut.

I used Spellbinders Labels Twenty-One for my tag shape and scattered  glittered die cut snowflakes all over it.  Now let’s see what you come up with!

The grand prize for this challenge will be TWO sets of die templates from the JustRite webstore!

JustRite Friday Challenge #062 Winners

Before we announce this week's winners I wanted to make everyone aware that due to some changes Google made to our Google Shared Reader account we are currently not able to add any additional items to our Google Shared Reader at this time.  As you can imagine we are very upset that Google has chosen to remove the shared button from Google Reader.  Let's hope they decide to add the button back in the next few weeks.

Marisa Jobs used Elegant Charms to create these adorable gift boxes. Marisa has a complete tutorial on how to create these boxes on her post!!  Aren't they just adorable!!

She created the sweet floral toppers using the flower element from Elegant Charms and die cut with our Charm Dies.

 

She used the Square Element from Elegant Charms to create the sides of these boxes.  How sweet!!

Beate Johns stamped two butterfly images from the new Botanical Butterflies set two times each in Embossing Ink on Natural White Cardstock and embossed them with clear embossing powder.

Marge Robertson used sentiment Baroque Nested Frames and frame for Give Thanks Nested Frames are die cut using JustRite's Nested Frames and Nested Sentiment custom.

Introducing JustRite Cling Background Stamps- November Release Part II

Welcome to part two of the JustRite November Release!!  Today we are very excited to reveal our first two cling background stamps.  And each of our designers has a special treat for you - 2 projects for today's post! 

 These background stamps measure- 4 1/2" x 5  3/4"  which is slightly larger than a traditional A2 card.  Now you can create your entire card including the designer paper with JustRite Stamps.  Each background stamp comes on it's own colored storage board which stores easily in our mini binder box.

Vintage Wallpaper Background stamp is a wonderful background pattern we tons of possibilities!!

Debbie Olson  has an stunning and simple to reproduce Christmas Card! Debbie stamped her background image twice -- once to create her rich red background paper by stamping a deep red on a lighter red cardstock.  Then creating a belly band by stamping the background ink on cream with red ink!!

Kellie Fortin created a wonderful background paper for her Botanical Butterflies card by stamping the Vintage Wallpaper Background stamp twice - once in cantaloupe, once in tangelo.  Then she die cut both images at the same time with Classic Scallops Edgeabilities to ensure that the pattern repeat would be perfect.  Then she cut strips of tangelo from the background and matching the repeat and the die cut adhered them to the Cantaloupe background.

Michele Kovack created this yummy card by embossing the background in white and using a brayer to roll color over the white embossing powder -- this technique allows you to reverse out the print in the background stamp.  Very cool Michele!!  The leaves and the sentiment for Michele's card are from our clear set Autumn Words!

Angela Barkhouse has a beautiful friendship card using a friendship nested sentiment and a paper pieced background by stamping the Vintage Wallpaper Background Stamp in two tones of green.

 

Barb Schram has the most adorable Vintage Snowman Ornaments -- don't you just love how she made her snowman vintage by stamping the snowmen with our Vintage Wallpaper Background Stamp!

Sharon Harnist created her wonderful background for her Christmas Card using Copic Markers -she has a full tutorial on how she created this Vintage Wallpaper Background using Copic Markers.

Heidi Blankenship has a wonderful  frosted wintery Christmas Card complete with Want2Scrap Pearls and snowflake trim. For a complete tutorial visit Heidi's blog post.
 

 Our second background stamp Scrolled Vine Background is designed with a blank area in the center which is the perfect size for our medium and small sentiment stamps from our JustRite Original Nested Sentiment Collections which are all on sale for just $5.00.

 Debbie Olson has created an elegant Christmas Card by stamping Scrolled Vine Background Stamp on Craft Paper as the background paper and then adding an image from Lace Borders to the blank area of the background stamp for her O Christmas Tree image.

 

Barb Schram created a FAB gift card holder using the Scrolled Vine Background Stamp image folder in half.  Just love all the bling and details in the Gift Card Holder -- it is so beautiful that it could be hung as an ornament on the tree!

Kellie Fortin used copics to color in the Scrolled Vine image as well as the background behind the vine.  See how nicely the Wedding Nested Sentiments fits in the interior of the stamped image.

 

Angela Barkhouse created a wonderful Anniversary Card with a Elegant Charms - Happy Anniversary Sentiment.

Sharon Harnist has a wonderful Christmas Tag.

JustRite Friday Challenge #062: Give Thanks

Today’s new JustRite Friday Challenge #062 is a tribute to the spirit of the upcoming U.S. Thanksgiving holiday and is a challenge to make and GIVE or SEND a thank you card or gift!  We all may be good about participating in challenges and making things for our own benefit, but now it’s time to share the love (and thanks)!

My sample tag card uses our new JustRite Clear Autumn Words set, introduced last month:

The pretty “Thank You” sentiment from this set fit perfectly inside a frame on the patterned paper I used!  The leaves are also from this set -- they were stamped with Memento inks, cut out, and adhered with foam tape above the sentiment. 

To create this tag card, I scored two #8 manila tags (one at 3” and one at 4.25”) and adhered them together:

Then I covered the tag with patterned paper.  The folded overall size measures 3.25” x 4.25”, so it will still fit in a standard A2 sized envelope for mailing.  The inside of my tag card was stamped with a pretty frame and sentiment “Your kindness touched my heart” from JustRite Cling Signs of Life set:

JustRite Friday Challenge #061 Winner

This week's JustRite Friday Challenge #061 was to create a project using leftover scraps or half-used pieces of patterned paper.  If our participants didn't have any leftover scraps, we simply asked that they give some older items they hadn’t used in a while some new love!  Many thanks to all of you who entered our challenge ... your creations were stunning!

Eva Dobilas - O Christmas Tree

 Today Eva has a gorgeous Christmas Card designed using O' Christmas Tree!!  

 

Instructions for creating my Christmas Card:

1. Using the largest die from the Spellbinders Curved Rectangles I cut my card base out of red cardstock. I cut one smaller size Curved Rectangle from the green patterned paper from Authentique Paper’s Wonder Christmas line.
2. Next I tied a gold wired ribbon bow and left a tail and adhered it to the card base as shown in the photo of my card. Using the second largest Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles shape, I die cut kraft cardstock and dry painted the edges with white acrylic paint. 
3. Using red and cream music sheet paper die cut a second largest Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and using pop dots adhere to the kraft label and adhere all that again with pop dots to the card front.
4. Using O' Christmas Tree, stamp the Christmas tree, trunk and star images on white cardstock and paint it in with Luminarte Twinkling H2O’s.  Cut out the Christmas trees with Spellbinders Nested Pennants dies and also die cut the coordinating size Nested Lacey Pennants out of light blue cardstock and layered them together and using pop dots adhered them to the label piece.
5. Using Spellbinders Spiral Blossoms One cut out a flower from patterned paper and create a flower out of it and adhere it to the middle of the bow.  Add small flat pearls to the tree and star and finally add Viva Pearl pen pearls to the edge of the card.
