This week's JustRite Friday Challenge #042 is a sketch, sponsored by Inchie Arts! We'd like to see how you use JustRite's stamps with this square sketch (and you're not limited to just a card)! The sketch AND Inchie Arts products are a perfect combination for any of our 2-inch square stamp sets or any other of our stamp images you'd like to make into a square!
Inchie Arts offers three different sizes of the highest quality artist grade matteboard squares: 1” (Inchie), 1-1/2” (Inchie +) and 2” (Twinchie):
All of their products are fade resistant, acid free, lignin free and solid core color through and through. The material is designed to receive whatever art medium (wet or dry) you use in your coloring and embellishments - from stamping to watercolors, chalks, inks, pens, markers, stains and more. They are available in black, dark gray, light gray, wheat, dark cream, ivory and white; as individual packages or assortment packs -- a color choice to match any project! Besides matteboard squares, you can find their full line of products here.
This week's grand prize winner will receive a generous $50 worth of assorted Inchie Arts product and 3 Honorable Mention winners will each receive $20 in assorted Inchie Arts product!
You can find a retailer near you that carries Inchie Arts products by visiting this page on their website and you can find more ideas for using Inchie Arts products at their creative blog, All In An Inch. Here's a beautiful sketch challenge sample from the owner of Inchie Arts, Lisa Lee:
Lisa loves stacking an Inchie + square (poinsettia from Hearts Come Home) with a Twinchie square (From Our House border) -- it's a fabulous look, don't you think?!! Lisa stamped and colored directly on the Inchie Squares with Copic markers -- yes, the Inchie products are Copic compatible! You can find more details about Lisa's beautiful pastel holiday card over at the Inchie Arts blog. Thanks playing along in our challenge with us today, Lisa!
Using Inchie products is not a requirement of the challenge, but these JustRite design team members have oodles of sketch sample inspiration for you today, using Inchie Arts products. Please be sure to click through to their blogs (hyperlinked names) to find full details:
Michele Kovack used the small mittens from our Sparky and Friends set on a Twinchie Square that she faux stitched:
Kathy Jones used a sentiment from A Day in the Country cling on a dark cream Inchie + square, matted with a wheat Twinchie Square -- a great match to her pretty Autumn paper choice!
Angela Barkhouse stamped and HEAT EMBOSSED a 2" Decorative Frame on a Twinchie Square -- a perfect size match and yes, your Inchie products will hold up to the heat! Angela placed a friendship sentiment (from Simple Blessings cling) inside the frame:
Stephanie Kraft used a sentiment from Sparky the Snowman cling set on an Inchie + Square, surrounded by a border from the From Our House set, stamped on a dark gray Twinchie, for a very dramatic look:
Kazan Clark used a black Inchie + square to frame her beautiful door wreath (From Our House set) and stamped and colored the border on a Twinchie square:
Heidi Blankenship distressed and stacked Inchie + and Twinchie squares for a beautiful vintage look for her card, using the rocking horse from Hearts Come Home:
Proving you don't have to "stay square" when using Inchie squares, Barb Schram stamped the snowman from our 2" ROUND Whimsical Christmas set and colored directly on an Inchie + square, then glittered a Twinchie square for her sparkly wintery card!
Becca Feeken went fresh and sweet by stamping our 2-3/8" round Something Sweet sentiment and coloring directly on an Inchie + square, then stacked it with another Inchie + square, for this pretty layered look:
Sharon Harnist stamped the bells from our small oval Christmas Joy set directly on an Inchie + square and colored it with Copics. She also custom colored a Twinchie Square for her red mat layer:
CHALLENGE RULES:
You will need to use JustRite products for your project and upload it to an online blog, gallery or photo hosting website. You may make and enter as many different projects as you'd like for our challenges. (Please see our blog post HERE for important information about our gallery on Flickr, how to upload to it, and another opportunity to win some JustRite products!).
You will then need to link to your project back here on our blog post, using the linking system on this challenge post. Please make certain your link is directly to your project, not just your general blog home page or overall photo gallery, so we can find it easily. (Links that are spam, commercial in content, or are not linked properly/directly to your project will be deleted). If you choose to upload your project to www.Splitcoaststampers.com OR our Flickr gallery, please use the weekly challenge code (example: JRC_042 <== that's an underscore between the letters and numbers) in the keyword section of the Splitcoast project upload page or the tag section of the Flickr gallery.
You will have until next Thursday, November 4 at 9am Central to make your project and enter a link to it below. Then the winners will be chosen and announced a little later that day here on the JustRite Inspiration Blog. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery of your prizes. By entering our challenges, you grant JustRite Stampers permission to use your artwork here on our blog as well as our company website gallery (with designer credit given and your blog post or gallery linked) or any possible advertising.
