This week's challenge, sponsored by Spellbinders, is to create something back-to-school related. It's right around the corner -- in fact, we have meet the teacher nights next week in our district, have already been busy purchasing school supplies, and school starts August 23rd!
Your project can be a first day of school scrapbook page (already prepped and ready for that photo!), card or gift for meeting the new teacher, or something to help YOU (or a parent, grandparent, neighbor) get through the school year a little better organized! Here are is sample, using All Occasion Nested Sentiments:
To make the banner sentiment, I added the word "teacher" from JustRite's 1-5/8" round What's Cookin' set to the end of the "Just for You" All Occasion sentiment right on my Clear Horizontal Stamper:
I masked the "treats" part of the teacher sentiment that I didn't want to use and just inked the rest of the words with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After stamping the sentiment, I hand trimmed it into the banner shape and inked the edges with Memento Desert Sand ink.
I added the banner and a die cut leaf to Spellbinders Nested Apples die cut and sanded the embossed edges to reveal the paper's white core a little.

You will then need to link to your project back here on our blog post, using the linking system on this challenge post. Please make certain your link is directly to your project, not just your general blog home page or overall photo gallery, so we can find it easily. (Links that are spam, commercial in content, or are not linked properly/directly to your project will be deleted). If you choose to upload your project to www.Splitcoaststampers.com OR our Flickr gallery, please use the weekly challenge code (example: JRC_031 <== that's an underscore between the letters and numbers) in the keyword section of the Splitcoast project upload page or the tag section of the Flickr gallery.
