Today's JustRite Friday Challenge 026-Nice Notes is sponsored by Spellbinders and your challenge is to create a shaped note card under 4-inches. It can be a flat no-fold or traditional folded card, which is a great size to tuck into your husband's briefcase, child's lunchbox or backpack, friend's desk, or customer order.
Spellbinders dies are a perfect tool to create shaped cards and most of the largest sizes of dies are right around 4-inches. Here's my sample note card using JustRite's Seeds of Kindness stamp set and Spellbinders Dahlia die (which measures 3.75"):
I die cut the patterned paper and then adhered it to a folded card base I cut from thin vanilla cardstock. I used Copic BG72 marker around the embossed edge of the patterned paper.
The center flower sentiment was stamped with Ranger Adirondack Stream dye ink, die cut and then the embossed edge accentuated with Copic R20 marker. The center was popped up on foam tape over the border that was stamped with Mountain Rose Adirondack dye ink and colored with the R20 marker. Some seam binding ribbon and die cut leaf complete this quick note card!
This week's winner will receive this set of Spellbinders Nestabilities dies (Scalloped Octagons-Sm & Deckled Edge Classic Ovals-Lg):
Honorable Mentions will each receive this set of Spellbinders Impressabilities templates (Floral & Stone, Diamond & Stars):
CHALLENGE RULES:
You will need to use JustRite products for your project and upload it to an online blog, gallery or photo hosting website. (Please see our blog post HERE for important information about our gallery on Flickr, how to upload to it, and another opportunity to win some JustRite products!).
You will then need to link to your project back here on our blog post, using the linking system on this challenge post. Please make certain your link is directly to your project, not just your general blog home page or overall photo gallery, so we can find it easily. (Links that are spam, commercial in content, or are not linked properly/directly to your project will be deleted). If you choose to upload your project to www.Splitcoaststampers.com OR our Flickr gallery, please use the weekly challenge code (example: JRC_026 <== that's an underscore between the letters and numbers) in the keyword section of the Splitcoast project upload page or the Tag section of the Flickr gallery.
You will have until next Thursday, July 15 at 9am Central to make your project and enter a link to it below. Then the winners will be chosen and announced a little later that day here on the JustRite Inspiration Blog. By entering our challenges, you grant JustRite Stampers permission to use your artwork here on our blog as well as our company website gallery (with designer credit given and your blog post or gallery linked) or any possible advertising.
We can't wait to see your shaped nice notes! Once again, the Spellbinders and JustRite designers may be sharing links to their projects throughout this week -- just some more inspiration for you (but they are not eligible for prizes). So we hope you'll come back frequently to see their projects!
