You are in for a real treat over the next three days ... guest designer, Eva Dobilas, will be sharing her beautiful artwork with us! You may recognize Eva's name as the winner of several of our Friday Challenges -- her artwork is amazing! You can find Eva blogging most every day over at her blog, For The Love of Life.
Here's a little bit more about Eva:
1. Tell us where you live.
"Currently I live in Southern California, but there is a great possibility of us moving to Northern California soon!"
2. Tell us about your family.
"My family consists of my darling husband, Michael, who has been such a great supporter of my craftiness and loves all my cards and layouts I create, especially if he is in the layout…hehe! And I have been blessed with an amazing 20 years old son, Shawn, who I am so proud of and is going to college at the moment to become a pharmacist."
3. Tell us how long you have been stamping.
"I actually started stamping about 20 years ago, when I wondered into a Michael’s store, and even sold some Christmas cards at that time at fairs. But I took a long break and didn’t come back to scrapping and stamping until 13 years ago. But most recently I started focusing again on stamping and card making about 2 years ago and now I can’t even imagine ever stopping. I am a totally stamp addict!"
We will continue our interview with Eva over the next two days, so we hope you'll be back for that and to see more of her gorgeous cards! Here's her first card, celebrating love and the first days of summer!
Notes from Eva: "Scalloped card base and large label was cut with Silhouette. Card base front was dry embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder. I stamped beach center image from By The Sea stamp set on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers, then added Stickles on water section of the image to add more interest to it and using Oval Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut it out. I stamped the beach oval sentiment on white cardstock, colored the shells with Copic markers and using Labels 4 Spellbinders cut it out. I hand cut little banners from the Girl's Paperie papers to create my banner, which I thought was just perfect for this beach scene card."
Absolutely amazing and exquisite details, Eva! Please be sure to check back again tomorrow for day two with Eva!
