This week's Friday Challenge #018 has been taken over by the kids and is sponsored by Spellbinders! For your chance to win some Spellbinders dies & templates, we want to see what you can create for kids -- whether they are your own kids, neighbor kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews, or maybe even something to donate to the kid's wing of your local hospital -- we want to see your kid gifts, encouragement notes, birthday cards, special treats, or scrapbook pages of kids!
Here are a few jumping off points for you to consider:
Of course our new Let's Celebrate set is a perfect choice for kid's cards, but you can also find whimsical sentiments or images great for kids in these stamp sets, too:
Favorite Occasions, Tiny Words, Just A Note (Dream Big, Make a Wish). The sailboat from By The Sea would make a great boy's birthday card or wonderful accents on beach scrapbook pages for the kids. And any of our floral images would make wonderful cards for girls! The shopping/shoes & purse images, and "Just Divas" sentiment from our Girl Time set (on sale this month!) make darling cards or scrapbook accents for girls, too!
Our large cupcake center with bonus 25-point font is another great choice for kid's birthday cards, as well as the "Birthday Girl" sentiment from our Birthday Wishes set (also on sale this month!).
Even Romantic Sentiments (Thank you for being my sunshine every day!), Seeds of Kindness (You make me smile, Bloom where you are planted), Loving Thoughts (Sending you a bucket full of kisses) can work well on encouraging cards for kids, when combined with bright colors & fun papers!
JustRite design team member, Angela Barkhouse, created this fun kid's birthday card using our Let's Celebrate set:
And Michelle Wooderson created this fabulous kid's birthday card using Let's Celebrate:
My samples also use our new Let's Celebrate set:
I made these 2" x 1.75" refrigerator magnetic clips to keep track of each of my kids' mounds of important school papers (I'm sure some of you have this, too?!!). This way, they're in plain sight and not forgotten or in the way where something can get spilled on them! Here's what the magnetic clips look like before embellishing -- they have very large & strong magnets on the back and I found them at Staples Office Supply:
I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and colored them with these Copic markers:
I used JustRite's 25-point Times New Roman Uppercase font to spell out my girls' names and then die cut them with Spellbinders Tiny Tags die. I adhered the patterned papers and images to the clips using my Xyron. A little bling and ribbon finish them up!
CHALLENGE RULES:
You will need to use JustRite products for your project and upload it to an online blog, gallery or photo hosting website. (Please see our blog post HERE for important information about our gallery on Flickr, how to upload to it, and another opportunity to win some JustRite products!).
You will then need to link to your project back here on our blog post, using the linking system on this challenge post. Please make certain your link is directly to your project, not just your general blog home page or overall photo gallery, so we can find it easily. (Links that are spam, commercial in content, or are not linked properly/directly to your project will be deleted). If you choose to upload your project to www.Splitcoaststampers.com OR our Flickr gallery, please use the weekly challenge code (example: JRC_018 <== that's an underscore between the letters and numbers) in the keyword section of the Splitcoast project upload page or the Tag section of the Flickr gallery.
You will have until next Thursday, May 20th at 9am Central to make your project and enter a link to it below. Then the winners will be chosen and announced a little later that day here on the JustRite Inspiration Blog. By entering our challenges, you grant JustRite Stampers permission to use your artwork here on our blog as well as any possible advertising.
This week's challenge winner will receive these Spellbinders Nestabilities dies (Big Scalloped Circles-Lg & Labels 12):
