This week's JustRite Friday Challenge #015 is to make a May Day or Mother’s Day project using any of JustRite's flower stamps! A great start is any of our recently-released botanical images: Beautiful Blossoms, Breath of Spring, Thinking of You, My Garden, Plant A Little Love, or Joyful Hearts. You'll even find flower images in our Small Oval Stamper with bonus Pansy Center & 15-Point Font, Autumn Blessings and Favorite Occasions sets!
Let's celebrate Spring, May Day or Mother’s Day this week ... and then you'll be all prepared for May Day on May 1 or the following Sunday, May 9 for Mother's Day! If you happen to not need a Mother's Day card/project, your Springy May Day project could also be used for a teacher (Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week of May at our school!) or maybe even to brighten someone from your local nursing home/assisted living's day. Flowers are always good for any of those occasions!
My sample uses one of my favorite flowers, the Hydrangea from our Plant A Little Love 3-1/4" set:
I also used Special Occasions Uppercase and Times New Roman Lowercase fonts to create my custom sentiment on the small Horizontal Wood Stamper. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto a solid piece of Webster's solid patterned paper and die cut it with Spellbinders Labels Six Nestabilities.
The Hydrangea was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and colored with these Copic markers:
I finished my card with beautiful Webster's Pages Petites patterned papers, machine stitched together and the lower edge die cut with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Petites die.
I'm very happy I have my Mother's Day card all ready to go, early! We hope you'll join the challenge and do so, too! Speaking of challenges, I just realized this card fits last week's Double Vision challenge, too!
CHALLENGE RULES:
You will need to use JustRite products for your project and upload it to an online blog, gallery or photo hosting website. (Please see our blog post HERE for important information about our gallery on Flickr, how to upload to it, and another opportunity to win some JustRite products!).
You will then need to link to your project back here on our blog post, using the Mr. Linky box in this challenge post. Please make certain your link is directly to your project, not just your general blog home page or overall photo gallery, so we can find it easily. (Links that are spam, commercial in content, or are not linked properly/directly to your project will be deleted). If you choose to upload your project to www.Splitcoaststampers.com OR our Flickr gallery, please use the weekly challenge code (example: JRC_015 <== that's an underscore between the letters and numbers) in the keyword section of the Splitcoast project upload page or the Tag section of the Flickr gallery.
You will have until next Thursday, April 29th at 9am Central to make your project and enter a link to it below. Then the winner will be chosen and announced a little later that day here on the JustRite Inspiration Blog. By entering our challenges, you grant JustRite Stampers permission to use your artwork here on our blog as well as any possible advertising.
This week's challenge winner will receive a $50 JustRite gift certificate and Honorable Mentions will receive $15 JustRite gift certificates. We can't wait to see all your floral cards!
