We wanted to be sure you saw this announcement made late last night:
Spring has sprung early at JustRite because our Botanical Collection has arrived in our warehouse and is now available for ordering on our website!!!
In celebration of our first ever challenge, we are giving each of our blog readers a chance to beef up their font collection by using this coupon code: FONT25 to recieve 25% off all JustRite font sets and the Horizontal & Vertical Stamper! This Coupon Code expires at midnight January 19.
Today we are hosting our first JustRite Friday Challenge!
We will post the titles of our weekly challenges for the whole month in the Challenge room of our blog (the link to that page is located right under our blog header) by the first Friday of each month, so if you choose to participate you can plan ahead and be sure to have whatever product we'll be using. Then watch for the detailed post each Friday here on the main page of the blog, giving you more specific instructions for that week's challenge. We will offer a prize each week for the winning project -- this week it's a $50 gift certficate to the JustRite store! (JustRite design team members are not eligible to win prizes, they'll just be sharing links to their creations so you can see some more weekly challenge inspiration.)
You will need to upload your weekly project to an online blog, gallery or photo hosting website and then link to your project back here on our blog post, using the Mr. Linky box that will be provided each week on the challenge post. If you choose to upload your project to www.Splitcoaststampers.com, please use the weekly challenge code (example: JRC_001 for JustRite Challenge <== that's an underscore between the letters and numbers) in the keyword section of the Splitcoast project upload page.
You will have until next Thursday, January 21 at 10pm EST to make and enter your project. Then the winner will be chosen and featured on next Friday's challenge post. We will also post a link to each week's winning project, on our Challenge page, for easy future reference.
We hope you'll join us and have some (rewarding!) fun with your JustRite product! Are you ready to get started?
JRC_001: Get Creative With Font! Use JustRite's font to make your own custom card sentiment, scrapbook page title, background paper, monogramed or personalized 3D gift, home decor, you name it -- we want to see how creative you can get with it!
To start you off, here are a few examples to get your creative juices flowing:
I customized a sucker/lollipop wrap, using JustRite's 2" Square Wood Stamper and 15-point Times New Roman font. You will need two sets of the 15-point font to spell out this phrasing, as it uses so many U's in the square sentiment!
I stamped the sentiment with red ink onto pink cardstock and then die cut and matted it with Spellbinders Classic & Classic Scalloped Square Nestabilities dies. The I and U on the center round white piece were made with Times New Roman 50-point font (found in the Uppercase font set). The center was punched with a 1-3/8" circle punch.
To make the wrap, I used a notecard and just trimmed it to 3" square, keeping the fold at the bottom. I punched a small hole in the center of the folded bottom, for the sucker stick to fit through, and a larger hole in the top so ribbon can tie the wrap closed.
The sucker & wrap fit into a standard A2-sized envelope and I customized it with various font, loaded on Horizontal Wood Stampers:
I used the smaller LOVE sentiment in the Curlz font on the smaller stamper, to stamp the word separately and sideways with white pigment ink. You can also use this same idea to create your own custom background paper for cards and scrapbook pages!
Here's some more font inspiration from our design team -- For Christmas Barb Schram designed these sweet gas card gift card holders for her daughters, using JustRite's Brayton font:
And I have a coordinating card to match my sucker wrap over at my blog, PaperFections:
