CPS 152 Prize Sponsor

JustRite Scrapbook Inspiration from the Spellbinders Booth at CHA

It is so much fun to see what other companies design team members create with our stamps!!  Today we are featuring some FAB!!  scrapbook pages that were on display at the Spellbinder's booth last week.  

The first gorgeous page was designed by Kazan Clark.  You will also want to click through to Kazan's blog to see her beautiful JustRite Card-- you will want to case its terrific design!!  A little birdie tells me that a JustRite Friday Scrapbook Challenge is in the making.... so we thought this would be a perfect time to inspire you to take out those unscrapped photos and think about how you can use your JustRite Stamps to create a scrapbook layout!!  

 
 Don't you just love the sweet pictures used for this adorable Easter page. The minute I saw the page in the Spellbinder's booth - I knew it had to be designed by JustRite Design team member Heidi Blankenship.  I was so excited when I finally got to have dinner with Heidi at CHA.  Our CHA schedules are always so hectic, it was great fun to finally get to visit in person with Heidi!!

Here is a close up of the title for the page made using JustRite Times New Roman Upper & Lowercase Font with a hint of Trompe Upper Case Font.

Here the designer used Times New Roman Font to preserve the date of these precious photos. Later this week I will be back with more great projects from Spellbinder's CHA Booth Display.

Stamp Positioner Tutorial

Here's that tutorial I promised, on how to use a stamp positioner.  Because of JustRite's unique interlocking grid system, any of our round, oval, square or round images or sentiments will fit on the Rectangle Stampers -- either Horizontal or Vertical, if you need to stamp them precisely.  Below, I placed a sentiment from JustRite's 1-5/8" round set, What's Cookin', on the small Horizontal stamper. 

Your stamp positioner will come with some transparent plastic sheets.  Align the corner of the transparent sheet with the corner of your stamp positioner and stamp your sentiment on it:

JustRite's Horizontal/squared shape fits right into the crook of the stamp positioner.

Next, position the transparent sheet with the stamped sentiment exactly where you want your stamped image to be.  Below, I centered the sentiment on the frame that's printed on the paper:

 

Then align the stamp positioner with the corner of the transparent sheet.  Keeping the stamp positioner held firmly in place, remove the transparent sheet.

Next, ink up your stamp and then align the wood stamper in the crook of the stamp positioner (above your paper) and gently lower the stamper onto the paper:

 

Presto, a perfectly placed sentiment!

The brand of positioner I used is a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and can be found at Michael's or sold through Stampin' Up demonstrators, rebranded as their own, I believe.  I've also seen other manufacturer's very similiar stamp positioners at Michael's and Hobby Lobby.

 
 

JustRite Friday Challenge 003: Valentine Love

Hello and welcome to another JustRite Friday Challenge!  Before we announce the next challenge, here's the winner of last week's JRC_002: Be Squared . . .

For today's JustRite Friday Challenge JRC_003, show us your Valentine Love!  Whether it's a card for your sweetheart, treats for teachers or children, we want to see your projects for Valentines Day!

To help get your creativity flowing, here are my samples . . . some Valentine treat packaging!

 

I used a Valentine party digital hybrid kit, printed the treat box and cupcake wrapper/topper, and then customized the "popcorn" box by stamping "Teacher Treats" from JustRite's What's Cookin' set directly on the printed digital paper! 

 

In order to align the sentiment correctly, I used a stamp positioner and I'll have a short tutorial for that tomorrow.  The cupcake topper was also customized by stamping this pretty heart wreath of flowers and sentiment from our Favorite Occasions set onto some pink digital paper.  Then it was die cut and adhered to the topper . . . quick & easy!!

 

Wouldn't these cupcake toppers be cute customized with each of your child's classmates' names?  They would be the hit of the school Valentine's party!  Along with treats for the teacher, you couldn't go wrong for Valentine's Day!

Be Squared Monogram

Today I have another "Be Squared" sample for you.  Remember, that is the theme for this week's JustRite Friday Challenge #002 -- to use a square monogram and/or square stamper, a project that is a square shape, or has squares on it!

How often do you find monogrammed merchandise at stores and dig through all the remaining inventory, only to NOT find YOUR monogram?  Sound familiar?!!  JustRite to the rescue!  With JustRite's selection of different font stamp sets, you can make your own monogram!  Below is a monogrammed journal I recently found in Michael's Dollar Bin:

 

Not the "S" I was looking for, so I stamped JustRite's Special Occasions font letter "S" monogram in pink and die cut it with Spellbinders Blossom die (sponged the edges with pale blue ink), then added it with foam tape to the 2" Decorative Frame I stamped in pink:

 

I added my new "S" monogram to the cover with glue dots and presto -- a quick & easy fix!

JustRite Friday Challenge 002: Be Squared

Welcome to the 2nd installment of JustRite's new Friday Challenges!  First, we'll announce the winner of JRC_001 from last week -- "Get Creative With Font!".

For today's JustRite Challenge JRC_002, you need to Be Squared!  Use our square sentiments, square stamper with decorative borders, or just make a project that IS square or has squares on it!

Becca Feeken used our Square Frames to create this gorgeous mat layer for our snowflake image from the A Merry Little Christmas Set:

Sharon Harnist took an image from our Christmas Treasures set and used the sentiment to design this great back to school card by matting our 3 1/4" designer center with a mat layer created by using a Labels 1 die:

  

Here Debbie Olson used her JustRite Font to create her sentiment for the card and then cut the image in a sqaure:

Such BEAUTIFUL Inspiration with the new stamps! I love the new release flower stamps! Makes me think of warmer days ahead. My favorite would have to be the daisy? Maybe? It is so hard to pick just one. They grow so simply and where ever they want to add a little bit of beauty.
