Today is day one with our Guest Blogger, Jen del Muro. Please click on any of the pics for a closer look at the details. Enjoy and make sure you leave Jen some comments today.
For today, I stuck with my original idea of doing personal stationary. Yes, it’s obvious, but it’s also something that I would consider a luxury. I love going to stationary stores and just oogling at all their monogrammed stationary. Then, I do a slight cringe at paying $2.50 per small flat note, especially when I know that I could make just about all of their products myself. So I did! The picture above is the little ensemble that I created.!
The basic layout for this next project came from a high end stationary store product. It is essentially like a desktop calendar on a smaller scale…and it’s stationary. The measurements for the base of this project are 5.5” x 6.75”, and the measurements for the actually pieces of stationary are 4.25” x 5.5”. The pieces of stationary paper are tucked into the corners which were created by cutting two 1 3/8” squares in half, and adhering just the edges of those triangles to the base. Like the journal, I used American Crafts paper, Swarovski crystals and May Arts ribbon to compliment the monogram stamp on the paper.
As I noted yesterday, I brainstormed and created several different types of projects for the week. Tomorrow I will have another ensemble, but it won’t be anything close to personal stationary. See you then!
