Introducing Give Thanks Nested Frames

Today we are introducing the latest addition to our Nested Frames & Sentiments line of stamps -- Give Thanks:

 

Just like the rest of this line, these stamps are made to fit our Clear Horizontal Stampers (set of 2).  The stamp set contains 3 small and 3 large decorative frames, along with 3 small phrases that are perfect for Autumn, Fall, Thanksgiving or even a general "Thanks" occasion.

Debbie Olson created this gorgeous Thanksgiving card, using the small scroll frame from the set around the Thanksgiving sentiment:

 

Stephanie Kraft stitched up this beautiful Autumn card, accented with the large scroll frame stamped in a pretty berry color:

 

Angela Barkhouse made this absolutely adorable turkey place card holder for her Thanksgiving table -- isn't he the cutest?!!

 

Michele Kovack created this gorgeous Autumn card, embellished with beautiful die cut leaves.  Aren't the leaf frames beautiful when colored and accented with glitter?!!

Becca Feeken created this wonderful Give Thanks card, using both sizes of frames from this set, accented with a beautiful Spellbinders die cut:

 

Heidi Blankenship transformed a recycled tin into this spectacular work of Autumn art, combing two different frames from this set:

 

Barb Schram has this bright & beautiful cheery Thanksgiving card.  As you can see, some of these nested sentiments can also be used alone (without frames) and fit perfectly on tags!

Introducing Christmas Nested Frames & Christmas Nested Sentiments

Today's Christmas Release II stamp set introduction is for the newest addition to our Nested Frames & Sentiments line of stamps, Christmas Nested Frames and Christmas Nested Sentiments:

This stamp line was created with "outside-inside" greeting/sentiment, verse & frames philosophy, to make it easy for you to have the perfect greeting for the outside of your cards, along with the perfect verse for the inside of your cards, all interchangeable with coordinating frames!  The greetings/sentiments are also large enough for your scrapbooking or home decor projects.

Our first example was designed for the 2010 JustRite Inspiration Catalog & Idea Book by Kellie Fortin.  Kellie stacked both of the frames from the Christmas Nested Frames set, to create this pretty layered card:

Day 3 with Guest Designer, Linda Coughlin

Our last day with guest designer, Linda Coughlin, brings us the last of her interview:

6. Who is currently your favorite paper company?

7. Tell us what you are currently addicted to.

"I’m going to combine these two questions because designer paper IS my addiction!  I can’t even choose a favorite, but vintage/retro styles are my favorites (K&Co., Cosmo Cricket).  Lately I have been using a lot of digital papers that I print myself.  I’m hooked on the instant gratification of shopping for what I need for a work in progress and being able to download and use it immediately."

9. What is your favorite paper crafting season and why?

"Autumn/Harvest Season – I love the celebration of God’s bounty that takes place at that time of year with its rich palette of colors."

Notes from Linda:

"I wanted to come up with something really special for my last day as a guest designer and decided to make a mini photo album/card.  A pocket heart was used for the front and a different memory sentiment (from Cherish the Memories and Victorian Nested Frames) was stamped on the back side of each of 6 tags": 

"The tag backs were a little too white so I stamped a pattern using a stamp from the Kaleidoscope set.  The sentiment was then stamped over the background stamping.  The heart die cut on the inside was stamped with a stamp from the Stitched With Love set in Versamark and clear embossed":   

 

"Another stamp from the same set was layered over the heart.  On the opposite page, I again stamped a Stitched With Love stamp on the background sheet and clear embossed it.  A panel with another stamp from the same set was stamped and clear embossed to create a pocket for more photos." 

 

"I used a Spellbinders label die to cut two tag style pieces that are tucked into pockets in the front and back of the card.  More photos have been affixed to these tags.  The card holds a total of four photos.  I think this card would make a cherished keepsake to give to a special person."

We are honored to have Linda Coughlin as our guest designer this week.  Back in April, Linda was chosen as the winner of a challenge we sponsored with Caardvarks and the prize package was one an entire set of one of our new releases AND a guest designer spot on our blog!  So now you get to see the lovely projects Linda created with our Nested Frames and Sentiments!

Linda's blog is The Funkie Junkie and here's a portion of our interview with Linda, so you can get to know her a little better:

1. Where do you live?

"Miami, Florida."

2. Tell us about your family.

"I have been married to my husband, Dan, for 37 years.  We have two grown children, one of whom is still in collage.  Neither are married so we have no grandchildren."

3. How long you have been stamping?

"I have been dabbling in stamping for about 10 years, but became a serious (daily) stamper about 2 years ago."

"To begin, I would like to thank the folks from JustRite Stampers for all the amazing stamp sets I won from the Caardvark’s challenge and for this opportunity to be a guest designer.  They were so gracious and accommodating to work with and it has been a truly delightful experience!" 

 

"I designed a fairly simple card to kick off the first day.  The frames and sentiment were clear embossed to add a bit of texture which was overlaid on an element punched using Becca Feeken’s very clever “right angle punching”.  I added some fancy machine stitching to give it a bit of texture.  The very bottom layer was stamped around the border using one of the nested frames stamps.  This entailed a bit of masking and inky fingers, but I really like the extra pattern and how it ties in with the stamped frames."

Introducing Victorian Nested Frames

 The second set of stamps being introduced in our Nested Frame Series this month is Victorian Nested Frames.  You will love all the elegant projects that you can make using this set.

Kellie Fortin used the Victorian Nested Frames to create this card using the Martha Stewart Iron gate punch and gold embossing powder to create an elegant frame for the "With Love Sentiment"

Sharon Harnist used the "Make a Wish" small sentiment from the Cherish the Memories Nested Sentiments, along with a small Victorian Nested Frame to make the tag for this cheery birthday card:

 

The card also uses our Kaleidoscope  set to accent the tag.  Our new clear horizontal blocks make it easy to stamp the frame in one color and then the sentiment in another color:

 

First, I stamped the frame in pink (above) and then placed the Nested Sentiment onto the block, into the center of the Nested Frame.  Then I removed the frame rubber from the block and stamped just the Nested Sentiment in another color of ink:

 

This method will help assure exact placement if you are using a stamp positioner, but as you can see perfectly through our new clear blocks, a stamp positioner is really not needed for perfect placement!

 

This small Victorian Nested Frame fit almost perfectly onto Spellbinders Scalloped Tag die -- just a little of the frame is cut off of the left scalloped side of the tag!

More Projects using Baroque Nested Frames

Sharon Harnist made this super quick & easy but elegant thank you card set, using just the Nested "Thank You" Sentiment from this set:

 

What made these cards such a snap to make, was using a box of pre-cut & scored bridal place cards (black/white damask pattern) with white die-cut labels!  The black damask panel is supposed to be folded to make the place card, but Sharon just left it flat and layered it with a black mat onto a raspberry notecard. 

 

The die-cut label was the perfect size to fit JustRite's "Thank You" sentiment stamped in Rose Bud ink!  A pink Prima flower and pearl are the quick finishing touch!

Introducing All Occasion Nested Sentiments and Victorian Nested Frames

Graduation season  is here!  So today Sharon & Kellie are sharing with you graduation projects they designed using the All Occasion Nested Sentiments and Victorian Nested Frames. Two great editions to the JustRite Family of Stamps.

Kellie scrapbooked her nephew's graduation from High School.  Wouldn't this look great framed on a wall?

 

To create an elegant mat for the the large frame from any of our Nested Frame Sets, you can use any Martha Stewart edge punch and coordinating corner punch.  Make your mat layer 3 1/4" x 5". Use your corner punch to punch the corners of the mat first, then use the corner guides on the coordinating edge punch to align the punch design.  This page uses the Modern Garland Edge Punch to dress up all the mat layers of the scrapbook page.

 Here is a photo showing you the large nested frame on thelarge clear blockwith the "Follow Your Dreams" sentiment.  Note that you will get a clean impression every time if you trim off the excess rubber around the raised sentiment as shown in this photo.

We can't wait to share with you all the fun ways you can use these frames!  This is just the beginning of our Frame Collection.  Introducing Victorian Nested Frames.

Kellie recycled a portion of the graduation invitation to create a pocket on her scrapbook page.  She used the graduation cap from the Favorite Occasion setand 15 point font to design a custom stamp " Class of 2010" - "Luke Fortin". Using the new 1 5/8 clear stamper (available in July).  Kellie set the type on the rim of the stamper and inked in Lady Bug ink and stamped it on white cardstock. Then she removed the type and using Tuxedo black ink added the graduation cap image to the center of the image.

Sharon Harnist designed these graduation cards by combining two different medium sentiments from this set, "Congratulations" and "Graduate" with the large Victorian Nested Frame.  You could also combine the "Just Because" and "I Love You" separate sentiments, for a customized greeting!  That is one wonderful feature of our new Nested Sentiments & Frames ... totally interchangeable and customizable!

 

A perfect accent for the above card was this graduation cap from our 1-5/8" Favorite Occasions set, colored with Copic markers to match the school colors!

Font can also be combined with the Nested Sentiments on the block, for an even more customized greeting ... think of the possibilities!

 

Times New Roman Uppercase & Lowercase 50-point font were used to spell out the graduate's name above.
